About
Vezér is a Mac app for timeline-based MIDI, OSC, and DMX sequencing, aimed at audiovisual artists, installations, lighting rigs, and show-control environments. It gives control data that usually lives outside the edit a visible timeline, including MIDI notes and controllers, OSC messages, DMX values, Art-Net output, cue jumps, loops, and synchronization. Automation is built with keyframes, curves, markers, and track lanes rather than hidden scripts, and MIDI, OSC, and DMX tracks can share one composition.
Larger projects can be split into compositions and triggered as cues, with stop points, jumps, and loops during playback. Compositions can be arranged in a Composition Queue without flattening the project into one long timeline, and transport, cues, and composition changes can be triggered from external software or controllers. Vezér can run as the timing source or follow external timecode and transport, and it can send sync output to downstream tools.
The app also supports lighting and audio workflows. DMX and Art-Net tracks can record incoming DMX, edit values visually, and soft-patch channels and universes. Audio tracks can be used as playback references and as sources for keyframes derived from amplitude changes. Projects can exchange data such as MIDI files, Adobe Swatch Exchange colors, JSON keyframes, and compositions, and can be exported as XML. A free demo is available before purchase, and a license can be registered on up to two different computers.
