About
VimR is a Neovim GUI for macOS written in Swift. Its goal is to provide an editor that runs Neovim internally while offering some of the convenient GUI features found in other editors. Features include a Markdown preview, a generic HTML preview that retains the scroll position when reloading, and a fuzzy file finder similar to Xcode's "Open Quickly...". Trackpad support includes pinching to zoom and two-finger scrolling. Ligatures are off by default and can be turned on in the Preferences.
VimR also includes a command line tool, a simple file browser, and a flexible workspace model similar to JetBrains' IDEs. Pre-built, universal, signed and notarized binaries are available under Releases. VimR requires macOS 13.0 or later and is released under the MIT license.
VimR is built with a modular architecture, and several of its Swift packages can be used independently. These include NvimView, for embedding Neovim in a Cocoa app; NvimApi, a synchronous and asynchronous API for Neovim; Commons; Tabs, a tab bar component; Workspace, a workspace management component; and Ignore, which provides gitignore-style pattern matching.
