About
Vitals is an Activity Monitor alternative for Mac. Instead of listing every one of the roughly 1,000 processes running on your machine, it groups them into about 60 apps, so you can see at a glance which apps are using your CPU, memory, disk, network, GPU, Neural Engine, and battery. It also keeps up to a year of history, and includes monitoring for coding agents, dev servers and ports, Docker containers, the volume mixer, temperature and fans, and Bluetooth device batteries.
Vitals also tracks the coding agents you run, showing things like usage limits and sessions, and includes an MCP server that works with Claude, Codex and Cursor. It is also available in the terminal and as a menu bar monitor, with alerts. Vitals is sold as a paid app at $15 with a 3-day free trial, and according to the site, your data stays on your Mac.
The website lists features such as coding agent tracking, the MCP server, and the command line interface as part of version 1.8.0.
