About
Vitamin-R is a time-boxing focus app for the Mac. Instead of starting with a vague intention, you name one immediate, specific, reachable objective, then protect a 15–25 minute time slice to work on it. The app keeps your objective in view, counts down the time, and shrinks to a single menu-bar countdown while you work. It also supports the classic Pomodoro Technique, alternating focused time slices with timed breaks.
When a distracting thought appears, such as an email to send or an errand to run, you can park it on the Now & Later Board in one line and return to your task. Other features include customizable visual, audio, and spoken prompts, focus soundscapes, a global keyboard shortcut for controlling time slices without the mouse, and a log book that records every completed time slice. You can also tag time slices by project or client and export them to CSV. Vitamin-R complements task managers such as OmniFocus and Things rather than replacing them.
Vitamin-R requires a Mac running macOS 15 Sequoia or later, on Apple silicon or Intel. It is a one-time purchase with no subscription and no sign-up required for the 14-day trial, which is fully functional.
