About
VRAM Pro is a Mac app for Apple Silicon that lets you adjust your VRAM allocation manually or with smart presets. macOS usually manages GPU memory automatically, which suits casual use but can be a bottleneck for power users. VRAM Pro's memory changes are admin-protected, and its graphical interface shows real-time VRAM status.
VRAM Pro is aimed at developers, AI researchers, and creatives. The site lists uses such as boosting apps that use Metal and CoreML, running local LLM (Large Language Model) workloads, and optimizing GPU use for 3D, video, or rendering pipelines. Supported allocations depend on RAM size, from up to 6 GB VRAM on 8 GB RAM to up to 510 GB VRAM on 512 GB RAM. Selecting "Default VRAM" restores system-managed allocation.
VRAM Pro does not add physical VRAM. It allocates more of your Mac's unified memory to GPU tasks. It is designed exclusively for Apple Silicon Macs and does not work on Intel Macs. A free trial is available, and the app can be purchased through the Buy Now option.
