About
WebStorm is a JavaScript and TypeScript IDE built for developers who work alongside AI agents. You can describe a task by typing or dictating it, or select code and send it directly to an agent. For UI work, you can point the agent at your design source so it implements the matching component. You choose an agent from a built-in catalog or use one already installed on your machine, and you select the project, subscription, and whether the agent runs in the GUI or the built-in terminal. Multiple tasks can run at once, with the Agent Sessions window showing what is running, done, or waiting on you.
Agent work can be reviewed inside WebStorm. Diffs open in the session, where you can comment on a line and send feedback as your next instruction. For UI changes, the agent can open your browser session, check console logs and network requests, take screenshots, and rerun the flow so you can confirm a fix before merging. You can also take over at any time to navigate, refactor, test, and debug with a full JavaScript toolset in the same window. WebStorm is designed for JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, React, Angular, Vue, Node.js, and SQL, and is free for non-commercial use.
