WeChat Work (called WeCom on the website) gives businesses a communication experience similar to WeChat. You can add WeChat users as contacts, run Mini Programs, use WeChat Pay features in the app, and send chat messages and articles between WeChat and WeCom. Group chats can hold up to 2000 members, and group owners can set exclusive admin permissions, mute members, and post group notices.
The app also includes office tools. Attendance lets you punch in and out from your phone, Report lets you check employees' work progress, and Approvals lets you customize templates, configure approvers and CC recipients, and check application records. Other features include an Enterprise Mailbox, File Disk with 100 GB of free storage, Video Meetings with up to 300 participants, and batch import of contacts into one directory. The website says it also supports third-party tools and user-developed tools integrated via APIs.
The website describes internationally recognized, bank-level encryption for data security. A Mac desktop version is available in separate Apple Chip and Intel Chip builds, and the site explains how to check your chip type under About in the Apple menu.
