About
Wield is a native keyboard launcher and command utility for Mac. Tap a modifier, type a short trigger, and the command runs as soon as the trigger is complete, with no Return needed. You can launch apps, arrange windows, and find files this way. Window commands place a window on the left, on the right, centered, or filling the screen. File search finds files by name or path, lets you preview a document, and opens it or reveals it in Finder.
Wield is built around short triggers. Typing a letter after the modifier shows the app commands that begin with that letter, so a few letters can become second nature. Wield is described as native and local-first.
Wield Studio is where you configure Wield. You can edit aliases and triggers, choose your modifier, and set up File and Clipboard. Triggers can be assigned automatically, set to custom letters you know, or edited to whatever you prefer.
