About
Wireless Workbench is free desktop software for audio professionals that helps you set up and manage networked wireless devices. It offers RF spectrum management tools, including continuous scanning from networked Shure scanning hardware, a frequency plot showing usable spectrum, and a Coordination Workspace for analyzing, calculating, and deploying frequencies to your inventory. Inventory tools can automatically discover networked Shure devices, let you label and configure device parameters, and apply batch edits or saved presets across multiple devices.
During a production, Live Monitoring provides real-time audio, RF, and battery metering per channel, along with configurable interference and hardware alerts. The Timeline logging utility records channel status information such as RF level, audio level, and interference detection over extended periods, so you can review system performance during or after a performance. For Mac users, alerts and events appear as OS-level notifications in the top right and can be viewed in Notification Center, even when Wireless Workbench is minimized.
For networked environments, Remote Device Connection lets you connect to devices across subnets, and Access Control helps protect devices from unauthorized changes made through Shure software. Wireless Workbench supports macOS Big Sur, Monterey, and Ventura, and it can generate inventory, coordination, and network reports.
