The Mac version has a refreshed Liquid Glass design for macOS 27, with customizable transparency.

The app includes AI tools for working with documents. You can build an AI knowledge base from PDFs and Office files and ask questions across them, review contracts to surface key clauses, and summarize, translate, or chat with documents. AI can also help you turn content into notes, cards, quizzes, and mind maps.

PDFelement fits into Apple workflows. You can scan with Continuity Camera from an iPhone and turn the results into editable PDFs on your Mac, pick up work where you left off with Handoff, and automate repetitive tasks with Shortcuts.
