About
Xcodes.app lets you install and switch between multiple versions of Xcode. It lists all available Xcode versions from Xcode Releases' data or the Apple Developer website, and you can install any version with a fully automated process. Installs use aria2, which uses up to 16 connections to download 3-5x faster than URLSession, and they automatically resume after network errors. An Apple ID is required to download Xcode versions.
Once installed, you can make a version active by clicking a button, which uses xcode-select. The app also shows release notes, OS compatibility, and included SDKs and compilers from Xcode Releases. It supports Dark and Light Mode, Security Key Authentication, installing Platforms/Runtimes, and installing Apple Silicon variants of Xcode and runtimes.
Xcodes.app is available through Homebrew with the command brew install --cask xcodes, or you can download the Xcodes.zip asset and move Xcodes.app to your /Applications directory. The app is localized in several languages, and the website notes that version 3.X requires macOS 13.
