About
Xliff Editor is a native macOS app for working with localization files. It uses a custom-built XML parser to read Xliff v1.2 and v2.0+ files, as well as .sdlxliff, .xlz, and Xcode .xcloc files, and it handles segmentation, inline tags, and alternate translations/matches. The app runs on macOS 14 and later, on both Apple Silicon and Intel, and is under 6 MB in size.
The editor includes keyboard-driven navigation, fuzzy and regex search, search and replace, full undo/redo, and support for editing multiple files at once. Inline element protection, smart segment status tracking, and the system spelling and grammar checker are also included. Translation Memory (TMX) export and import are supported.
Optional AI integration lets you translate individual segments or batch-translate entire files, using your own API key. The interface is localized in English, German, French, Spanish, Swedish, Slovakian, and Dutch.
