About
XnConvert is a batch image converter available for macOS as a Universal DMG, which supports both Intel and ARM Macs. It lets you automate editing of photo collections by rotating, converting, and compressing images, and by applying over 80 actions such as resize, crop, color adjustments, and filters. It reads more than 500 formats, including JPEG, TIFF, PNG, WebP, PSD, camera RAW, HEIC, and PDF, and can export to about 70 formats. You can save presets and reuse them for later batch conversions.
The app includes watch folders that monitor for new or updated images and automatically apply a custom set of edits. It also supports metadata editing, and it can export to NConvert for command-line use. Its interface offers drag-and-drop functionality and includes more than 20 translations.
XnConvert is free for private or educational use, including non-profit organizations, and the developer describes it as freeware with no adware or spyware. Companies that intend to use it must purchase a license, with pricing based on the number of licenses.
