About
Yoink is a "shelf" for your Mac. When you start dragging files, it appears at the edge of your screen so you can drop them in, then move your hands and mouse freely to reach the destination. It can hold virtually anything you can drag, from files in Finder to text from word processors or images from websites. Yoink behaves like Finder when you drag files out of it: hold Option (⌥) to force a copy, or Command (⌘) to force a move.
You can adjust when Yoink appears, either immediately when you start dragging, only when you near the screen edge, or at your mouse cursor. A keyboard shortcut shows or hides it manually, and long-pressing it recalls files you previously moved out of Yoink. Yoink can also keep a history of recently copied items, which you can access from its Notification Center widget or the app itself. Apps you add to the "Ignored Apps" list are excluded from automatic appearance and from clipboard storage.
Yoink is integrated with macOS and includes system services, a Quick Action, a Share extension, Terminal and Automator support, QuickLook previews, and Handoff and Continuity Camera integration. It is available as a one-time purchase on the Mac App Store or the developer's website for 9,99 € / $8.99 / £8.99, and requires macOS 10.13 High Sierra or newer.
