About
Yojam is a free, open-source Mac app that lives invisibly in your menu bar and intercepts link clicks, routing each one to the right browser, profile, or app. It has no Dock icon. When you click a link in Slack, Mail, or Terminal, Yojam receives the URL, strips known tracking parameters, checks your rules, and hands the link to its destination. If no rule matches, a keyboard-first picker appears where your mouse is. Yojam requires macOS 14.0 or later.
Rules can match domains, exact paths, or Regex patterns, and can send links to specific browsers, Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, and Firefox profiles, or Firefox Multi-Account Containers. Rules can also open specific domains in a new Incognito or Private window, rewrite URLs (for example, changing twitter.com to nitter.net), and route links to native apps such as Zoom or Figma, or to a mail app based on the recipient's domain. Yojam can also suggest permanent rules after you manually choose the same browser for a domain several times. Optional clipboard monitoring lets you open a copied link through the picker with a shortcut.
Routing rules, custom browsers, and per-app settings can sync across your Macs through your own private iCloud, with no third-party server involved. Yojam offers zero telemetry, and its settings are stored locally in a plain JSON file. Yojam is licensed under the BSD 3-Clause license and can be installed with Homebrew using brew install --cask yojam.
