Zed Preview

About

Zed Preview is a Mac app from Zed Industries, which describes its editor as the world's fastest IDE, open source, with AI optional. The site also highlights a multiplayer environment for coding with agents, powered by DeltaDB, and lists projects it builds on, including GPUI, a GPU-accelerated UI framework for Rust, and Tree-sitter for incremental parsing.

The website text does not give a detailed feature list for the Zed Preview Mac app specifically, so this description is limited to the points stated there. It is presented as a collaborative software development tool, with a Download and Learn More option on the site.

The page also includes an engineering thread about internal performance work in the sum_tree crate, but that thread describes project development rather than a user-facing feature of the app, so it is not described here as a product capability.
