About
Zedis is a native Redis and Valkey GUI built with Rust and GPUI, the engine behind the Zed editor. GPUI draws every frame on the GPU, and SCAN is virtual-scrolled, so a million keys stays at 60+ FPS on a small memory footprint. Zedis decodes your values on its own, including JSON, Protobuf, MessagePack, JWT, and images, and it offers live metrics, a memory analyzer, hot keys, slow log, MONITOR, and cluster health in the same window.
Zedis is built for production use. Prod connections start write-locked, a destructive command asks for the server's name before it runs, and secrets are encrypted per machine. The app has no telemetry. It connects over TLS, SSH, Cluster, and Sentinel, supports Redis and Valkey as first-class options, and greys out features that other servers such as Dragonfly, Garnet, proxies, and managed clouds lack, with the reason shown.
For everyday work, Zedis includes a command palette (⌘K), a redis-cli with completion, an AI command assistant, and copy and diff across servers. Users of Redis Insight, ARDM, or Tiny RDM can paste an export to bring in all their connections at once. On macOS, Zedis can be installed with Homebrew using brew install --cask zedis.
