About
Znote is a clean, local Markdown editor for your own .md files. It's free, requires no account, and your notes stay on your disk. Your Obsidian vault opens as-is.
You can ask your notes questions: type @ to choose what the AI should read and / to pick a prompt, and the answer appears inline in the note you're writing. Code blocks can be run, and the resulting charts or tables render inline. Using MCP, you can also connect tools such as GitHub, Postgres, Slack, and Linear with one config file, so the AI can query, search, and create in them.
You can push your notes to git from the app, and passwords are stored in encrypted files beside each note, so the note itself is safe to commit. The AI runs on your own key from OpenAI or OpenRouter, or fully locally with Ollama.
