About
Zush is an AI file renamer and organizer for Mac and Windows. It reads the content and metadata of PDFs, photos, video, and audio, then suggests descriptive names in 107 formats based on that content, the file's metadata, and your rules. You can review each name and folder before applying it, rename files in batches, and undo any batch. Naming Blocks let you build filenames from 145+ building blocks, such as dates, file metadata, finance, legal, travel, and clients, and templates save reusable rename setups for recurring work.
Zush can also sort files into folders with AI, either by grouping them by content or by following a rule you write, such as "Group invoices by company and receipts by month." Files stay where they are unless you turn on AI folder sorting, and every rename or move can be reversed. Folder monitoring can watch one or more folders, including iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive folders, and process new files in the background. Zush also adds Finder tags and Spotlight metadata, and its Rename History lets you roll back to the original filename.
You choose where the AI runs. Zush Cloud sends requests through a relay to a commercial AI provider. Bring Your Own Key lets you connect your own API key from Gemini, OpenRouter, OpenAI, or Claude for cloud renames, with 50 across all modes on the FREE plan and unlimited use on PRO. For private processing, LM Studio or Ollama keep supported analysis on your device, and each local mode works offline after setup.
