About
Alcove is a to-do list, planner and notebook that sits in your Mac's menu bar, one click away from any app, even in full screen, with a live count of what's left. Press ⌥ Space to quick add a task: Alcove picks out the day, time, length, repeat, priority, list and tags as you type. Lists have their own colour and icon, folders go up to three deep, and you can add as many tags as you like.
Notes use Markdown shortcuts for headings, checklists, code, quotes and tables, and they do the maths: end a line with = and it's worked out, with sums that update as you write. Tasks can repeat on any rhythm, boards let you move cards through columns such as To do, Doing and Done, and Undo can take back up to 100 steps, typing included. Themes offer 9 colours and 8 accents, plus papers, in light and dark.
Alcove also works with Siri, Shortcuts, iCloud, widgets, Control Center and Claude. AI assistants are off until you approve them, are limited to the tools you allow, and every call is logged. Progress shows what you finished against what you added, with no streaks. Alcove follows you to iPhone and iPad.
