Amethyst – RSS & News Reader
Release notes
- 1.2Latest
- Amethyst 1.2 levels up the Amethyst experience substantially with these new features:
- - iPhone Duo support! Take advantage of your larger display with a full sidebar
- - Columns! Read multiple news feeds side by side at the same time, available on iPhone Duo, iPad, and Mac
- - Menu Bar app on macOS: Quickly read headlines across any feed without opening the app
- - New article design options: Beyond the classic rounded card, you can now choose between an immersive card (enlargens image), and a compact card with less padding. On the rounded and compact cards, there's also an additional option to disable images for more visible text.
- - Publications within groups in Sidebar: On iPhone Duo, iPad, and Mac, you can now list your publications underneath each individual folder, rather than in a separate list. This is a setting, so you can revert to the old behavior if you'd like
- - New starter packs within the Discover tab, to help you find sets of sources to quickly add
- - Improved Apple Watch app with ability to set complication source and see some headlines on your wrist
- - Fixed some iCloud Sync bugs
- - Ability to mark articles as read, improved read counters
- - Improved feed updating with push notifications
- - New floating window interface for Settings on macOS
