About
Anoto is a calm to-do list for your Mac, laid out like a paper planner. Every day gets its own page, and yesterday sits on the left while today sits on the right, so you can see what got done and what is still open. Turn the page with the arrows in the corners. There is no save button, since every change is kept right away.
To add a task, type it and press Return, then click its box when it's done. Once a day has passed, its page becomes read-only, so past days stay as they were. Keyboard shortcuts include T for today, D to jump to a date, N for a new task, and S to open your statistics, which show streaks, your longest run, your best day, your busiest weekday, and a dot for every day of the last six months. These are worked out on your Mac from your own pages. You can also use File › Export Tasks… to save everything as a Markdown file.
Anoto has no account, ads, analytics or tracking. Your tasks are kept on your Mac, or in your own iCloud account if you use iCloud. It costs $4.99, paid once, with no subscription, and requires macOS 15.5 or later. It is available in English, Danish, Japanese, German, French, Spanish and Korean.
