About
Nagbar is a Mac app for reminders that don't accept "later" forever. When a reminder is due, a card drops from the notch, and if you put it off, the next ask takes over your whole screen, on every display, until you press Done. Reminders can repeat daily, weekly, or monthly, and Nagbar works with every calendar on your Mac, with a Join button on the alert. On a call or while presenting, alerts stay as a small card with a soft sound and never take the keyboard. Nagbar requires macOS 14 or later and Apple silicon, needs no account, and costs $10 at the founding price (first 100 buyers, then $20), with a 14-day refund.
You can also manage reminders by voice. Hold ⌥⌘V and speak, and Nagbar acts on it and tells you what it did, using one of 11 voices in English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, or Hindi. You can add, move, snooze, or complete reminders and calendar events, turn on Do Not Disturb, keep your Mac awake, or start a focus timer. Holding right ⌘ lets you edit selected text by voice, and "Do it for me" hands a due task to Claude or ChatGPT for your review. Nothing is sent automatically.
Nagbar can also notice promises in what you dictate. When you dictate a reply, it offers a reminder with the date it understood, and nothing is added without your click unless you turn on auto-add for clear cases. It reads only what you dictate, never the rest of the chat or password fields, and keeps that data on your Mac for 7 days.
