About
SideNotes is a Mac app that lets you capture notes, tasks, links, and snippets from the edge of your screen without leaving the app you're working in. It stays on top of other apps, whether you use full screen mode, regular windows, or Stage Manager, and you can show or hide it with a keyboard shortcut, the Open Bar, or by moving your cursor to the screen edge (Hot Side mode).
Notes can be organized with folders, colors, and pinning, and the app supports Markdown formatting without showing the markup, images, file and folder shortcuts, tasks and checklists, and color code preview in #rrggbb format. Themes and customization are available, along with iCloud synchronization and automatic backups. Integrations include Apple Shortcuts, an AppleScript API, a URL-based API, and apps such as Alfred, Hookmark, PopClip, Dropzone, and Raycast.
SideNotes requires macOS 13 or later and is sold as a one-time purchase per major version with a free trial, with no subscription. SideNotes Mobile for iPhone and iPad is sold separately.
